Tiger Eye Mala

Traditional and spiritual significance

In contemporary crystal traditions, tiger eye is commonly associated with confidence, discernment, and symbolic protection. These meanings can serve as personal reminders during reflection.

Planetary associations differ between sellers and traditions. Select it for its material and devotional meaning, and obtain personalised guidance if you intend to use it for a particular astrological observance.

How to use for chanting and meditation

Sit comfortably in a clean, quiet place and choose a mantra or intention. Move one bead for each repetition, using a gentle grip. Let the count follow your practice rather than rushing to complete the strand.

If your mala has a guru or meru bead and your tradition instructs you not to cross it, reverse direction when you reach it. Follow your teacher’s counting method for a formal practice; use a separate counter when you need a fixed total.

Suggested devotional practice

Use your regular devotional mantra or a short intention such as May I act with courage and good judgement. There is no need to invent a gemstone-specific mantra for a personal meditation habit.

Care and storage

Wipe gently with a soft cloth and keep the string from prolonged water exposure. Remove before bathing, swimming, or using household cleaners.

Avoid impacts, direct heat, and pulling the thread. Keep in a separate soft pouch and check the string before repeated handling.
