Shri Mahamrityunjaya Yantra

Lord Shiva and the Mahamrityunjaya mantra tradition. It is a devotional object rather than a treatment or guaranteed life-protection device.

No such claims are established. The spiritual meaning of the prayer must remain separate from medical outcomes and urgent healthcare needs.

Yes, where that fits your devotional practice. Use a reliable full text, pronunciation and meaning; confirm whether the same wording appears on the actual plate.

Monday is a common Shiva worship day. Daily prayer and other observances also exist, and formal timing depends on tradition and local calendar.

That the design and inscription are readable, the mount is secure and the outer frame fits your altar. Keep moisture, smoke deposits and flame away from the finish.

Choose Monday or during Shravan. After a bath, clean the puja space and place the yantra on a red or yellow cloth. Sprinkle Ganga jal, apply kumkum or sandal paste, and offer flowers, rice and a ghee diya. Chant "Om Tryambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam" 108 times. After that, a short daily prayer or lamp is enough.

Puja and Vastu tradition suggest keeping it in the east or north-east, at eye level or on the altar, with the front of the yantra facing you during prayer. Keep the place clean and avoid bathrooms, the floor or the space under a staircase.

Wipe the gold-plated copper plate gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid soap, lemon, acids, abrasive powder or polish, which can remove the finish. If you offer water during puja, dry the yantra immediately afterwards and keep it away from damp walls.
