Shri Budh (Mercury) Yantra

Here Budh means the Mercury graha in Jyotisha. It is different from an image or object associated with Gautama Buddha.

Wednesday is commonly linked with Mercury. It can be a customary prayer day, while formal timings should follow your calendar and tradition.

Its traditional learning and speech themes may suit those intentions. It does not guarantee grades, language skills or business results.

Choose Wednesday. After a bath, clean the puja space and place the yantra on a red or yellow cloth. Sprinkle Ganga jal, apply kumkum or sandal paste, and offer flowers, rice and a ghee diya. Chant "Om Braam Breem Braum Sah Budhaya Namah" 108 times. After that, a short daily prayer or lamp is enough.

Puja and Vastu tradition suggest keeping it in the north, at eye level or on the altar, with the front of the yantra facing you during prayer. Keep the place clean and avoid bathrooms, the floor or the space under a staircase.

Wipe the gold-plated copper plate gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid soap, lemon, acids, abrasive powder or polish, which can remove the finish. If you offer water during puja, dry the yantra immediately afterwards and keep it away from damp walls.
