Description

Translucent orange beads that glow when light passes through them. Some run light honey and others deep red orange, often with soft bands of colour. That's carnelian, known in India as lal hakik, a chalcedony that's been prized for seals and rings for thousands of years. Near the centre the colour gives way to four opaque white milky quartz beads, and in the middle sits a black onyx barrel engraved in gold with the maiden and the word "Virgo". Kanya means maiden, so the picture is the rashi itself.

You might expect green for Kanya, since Budh rules it and Budh's colour is green. This bracelet takes a different route on purpose.
